when i see the new issue of real simple mag sitting tauntingly on a grocery store shelf, my heart literally goes into pitter patter overdrive.
(either that or i could have a little belly urchin taking up all my organ space, causing surprise onset rapid heart rate..)
its no secret how much i love this magazine.
i scour through it each month and dog ear well, almost every page. favorite books to read! daily deals! 10 minute recipes! etiquette Q&A! organizing tips! beautifully simple and colorful imagery that is sheer eye candy for my photographer brain!
but one thing i particularly love about each issue of realsimple, are the clip and save 3×5 cutout cards at the back of the magazine.
each month they’re different…there are 3-6 cut outs just waiting to keep you from writing down that recipe, memorizing that awesome quote you read, or teaching yourself how often to wash each different article of clothing you own.
they are little 3×5 cards that you simply tear out. id love to say that i keep mine in a perfectly adorable little organizer box, but realsimple hasnt found & come out with the newest best perfectly adorable little organizer boxes so im simply at a loss as to where to find one. (clearly i’m helpless.)
Here is what is says at the top of the “Real Simple TO GO page”, where you find the clip & save cards.
“wish you could always have GREAT realsimple tips and inspiration on hand? now you can. tear out these cards and file them by topic (laundry, recipes, thoughts) in a recipe box. or, tack them to a bulletin board for quick reference.”
i promise, in my next life im going to work for a magazine. i swear it’d be the coolest job in the world next to being a wedding photographer.
this months issue of real simple is fab; has an article on new uses for old things, (hello, remember design tuesday? this is one of my favorite things!!), a page on problem solvers, and ofcourse 10 finds for $50 or less which is always a hit in my world.
hope you enjoyed today ladies! and if you didnt know these nifty cards are at the back of every issue, now you know and can begin tearing them out religiously and filing them away..
tomorrow’s rad mom blog interview is from a super famous, super sweet, amazingly talented photographer in my industry and i cannot wait to share with you a little bit about her life! STAY TUNED!
have you notice that no recipe i’ve put on here so far is? well, im all about enjoying life…so though this little treat isnt great for the every day, its PERFECT for enjoying once a month or so. especially in the summer!
so i’ve been devouring the june issue of Real Simple magazine. and after going through it ive made a decision to buy EVERY issue from here on out. this mag is amazing. DIY tips, amazing recipes, gorgeous imagery, thought provoking articles on real issues and real life, and super useful tidbits. Like this one; did you know that June 4th is National Doughnuts Day and Krispy Kreme Doughnuts will be giving away FREE doughnuts all day long? HOLLA! as a 24 week pregnant lover of all things sweet, coming across this information made my WEEK.
back to the mag. near the back i came across the most yummy looking, amazingly simple 5 minute treat. and yesterday was a rough day around the hood house figuring budget and bills, so i thought, “superb night to stuff my face.” and it was so super worth it. i was in sugary sweet heaven.
